Royal Shell to Donate $50,000 to PURRE

Sanibel, FL – April 2008 – Royal Shell Vacations (www.RoyalShell.com) and Royal Shell Preferred Properties (www.RoyalShellSales.com), sister companies in the vacation rental management and real estate businesses on Sanibel and Captiva, have announced that they will donate $50,000.00 to People United to Restore our Rivers and Estuaries (PURRE) this year.

Donald R. DeLuca, Vice President and General Counsel of RLR Investments LLC, and broker for Royal Shell Preferred Properties, commented that the combined companies have looked for ways to support the Sanibel-Captiva community and promote a better quality of life in Southwest Florida. “Everyone who lives, works on or visits Sanibel and Captiva islands has a stake in the water quality of the islands’ environment. We are proud to contribute to a program that actively works to keep our waters clean.” The funds will be donated in two payments of $25,000 and $25,000. The initial payment already has been made. The second payment will be made in May 2008. PURRE was formed by a group of local people who realized that the estuary system of Southwest Florida was threatened with destruction beyond repair if policies are not changed to benefit the environment.

According to PURRE’s Web site (www.purre.org), “Years of mismanagement of our waterways, accumulation of nutrients from fertilizers dumped down the Caloosahatchee River from Lake Okeechobee along with our own water shed, and the rapid growth of development are just some of the areas that have contributed to the deterioration of the marine eco-system of South Florida.”

The goal of PURRE is to restore and protect the marine ecosystem of South Florida and in doing so, protect the economy as well.

VACATION HOME EXPO 2008 PREMIERS IN ATLANTA
APRIL 11-13, COBB GALLERIA CONVENTION CENTRE

Greenwich, CT, September 14, 2007 – MSE Management, Inc. announces a brand new Vacation Home Show to debut April 11-13, 2008.  It is the first and only exhibition focusing on the condo, villa and vacation home experience.

Supported by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and produced in conjunction with several vacation home associations, the Vacation Home Expo will target one of the most popular and fastest growing segments of the travel market. “We’re pleased that this Expo is coming to Atlanta”, said Debbie Reetz, National Advertising Director at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “We have seen this market grow tremendously over the last few years, and the Expo will provide our sponsors, advertisers, and Atlanta consumers with the best information that the travel industry has to offer.”

An Expo Advisory Council has been created and includes 15 representatives from the condominium, villa and vacation home market who will provide direction and advice in the development of the event. “These types of vacation rentals generate mass consumer interest for traditional families, honeymooners, singles, sports enthusiasts, mature citizens, couples and extended families,” said Paul Muir, the show’s producer.  “A vacation rental property offers the convenience of ‘home’ with a fully equipped kitchen, lots of space, comfort and privacy and the convenience of multiple bedroom layouts — all at a price that is comparable or cheaper than staying in a confining hotel room,” he added.

At the 2008 Vacation Home Expo, attendees will have the opportunity to personally meet with property representatives, who will give first-hand destination information, and provide “show-only” discounts and travel package specials. “Practically every major hotel chain has now entered the condominium/villa segment and will be represented at the Expo,” added Muir. ”We are delighted that so many major groups have already indicated their support for this event and will bring their first-hand knowledge of properties and destinations from around the world.”

The Expo will also feature free educational seminars, giving attendees a unique opportunity to discuss options and alternatives with industry leaders and experts from around the world.

Full details about the Vacation Home Expo can be found at www.vacationhomeexpo.com, or by calling MSE Management at 203-622-1710 or 877-604-2867.

FROM SEA TO SHINING SEA

Tarpon Real Estate owners David and Holly Haynes created the “Beach Homes for the Brave” program to thank soldiers who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. After contacting 80 homeowners on Palm Island and Little Gasparilla Island, the Haynes had offers from four willing to donate their multimillion-dollar properties to servicemen and women for a weekend. The troops, selected with the help of Central Command, spent a weekend on the beach with their families at no expense. “It’s a win-win for everybody,” says David Haynes. “The people who donated their homes for a weekend – we’re working on trying to get them a tax break for their donations.” Holly Haynes hopes the “Beach Homes for the Brave” idea will not end with Tarpon Real Estate. Other Realtors in vacation spots elsewhere in Florida and nationwide could adopt the concept and launch similar projects.
